The Great Sky Spirit, Nasaru, or the Great Mystery, was the master of all creation. Below the sky was an endless body of water on which two ducks swam. Nasru made two brothers, Wolf-man and Lucky-man. He then sent them to the ducks. The brothers asked the ducks to bring up some earth from the bottom of the ocean. Both ducks did this. With the earth the first duck brought up, Wolf-man made the great plains. With the earth the second duck brought up Lucky-man made the hills and mountains.
The two brothers then went down beneath the earth and found two spiders. Carefully the two brothers told the spiders that they wanted them to reproduce, and explained how to do it. The spiders reproduced as told and created all the things that exist on the earth including humans. However they produced one thing that no longer exists, the produced a race of evil giants. But that is another story how the giants ceased to be.
