Answering Mythological Questions
Since I have received many questions since putting this mythological site up, I thought it was perhaps worthwhile to mention how people can search for answers to their own questions, especially the basic ones.
First there is a large amount of material at this site. Browsing through it will give you a clue where information may exist that could to have answers to the specific questions that you have.
There are standard reference works on Mythology. Bullfinch's mythology we have on our site. You might find other such reference works by using the search engines we point to below.
There is the Encyclopedia Britannica site which you can register on and use for free for 7 days. (Or you could when this page was created). IF you like it,for a price they will let you access their files online.
They have another site, wherein all is supposed to be free, although you need to register.

Search Engines
Some of the powerful general search engines.
Google Sounds silly, but every search I make on it returns first the ones I am looking for.
Ask Jeeves It too sounds silly but questions in clear English usually give very pertinant links.
Search com ...What I like about this is the first search can be on the whole web, then the next searches I can do on the responses, so I can narrow down the links by using more criteria. Very smart.
AltaVista Always fast, and thorough.
W3 Search Engines Pages of Search Engines by category and with reviews usually.
Some of the general search engines of registered websites.
Some of the other search engines.
Search Engine Watch
Matilda Like one of those cosmetic ads in magazines...much information in very small print.
